You Might Be A Young Mom If…

At the beginning of last month I attended a conference locally for Arkansas Women Bloggers. I had a blast! The women were encouraging and helpful and I was so surprised how approachable they were. They really helped me out getting re-focused and pumped up about writing again. It’s SO NICE to be able to meet people who have the same interests as you do and want to share with you not because they had anything to gain from it but because they were passionate! It’s like I met 30 soul mates and we could just GO-THERE conversationally without the usual road blocks when you first meet someone.

As I’m sitting here typing, Ben is playing an out of tune kid guitar he bought “for Bear”, Bug is screeching in his high chair throwing Kix and Bear is dragging the vacuum quietly behind my back because he knows he’s not suppose to touch it… OH and I forgot to close the coffee pot when I turned it on this morning. Roofers have been here for a few days and my brain is all fuzzy from lack of sleep and the pounding. Which is a GREAT SEGUE to my blog post about being a  [crazy] Mom I wrote a few months ago while still in the middle of the toddler and a baby chaos. I submitted it to the Arkansas Women Bloggers and they chose to publish it on their page!! I’m honored they picked it- I think anyone who has had a child can relate. Some more than others, I seem to be the extreme in mom insanity. :) So here it is, “You Might Be a Young Mom If…”

-the pinched nerve you feel in your neck is actually your necklace (you aren’t used to wearing) pulling your neck hair.-you can pee in record time knowing any delay could result in catastrophe or death.
-every night (or morning or whenever) when you dry yourself off after a shower with your towel you think, “man I should wash these” and you’ve been saying that for a few weeks.
-pony tail holders, wide greasy-hair covering headbands and hats are your only accessories.
