My Little Happy Things 3

-the flowers that I procured from my nice neighbor are still beautiful mysteriously after almost 6 days.

-My fever is gone. No more of the “freezing hot” and “burning cold” sensations that my 8-year-old self named thus.

-my lawn is mowed.

-there is a Dora the Explorer that is her in China or something that was oddly interesting when I had a fever. I learned how to say “slipper”, “Grandfather” and “Thank you” in Chinese and promptly forgot minutes afterword.

-my cough could taste worse.

-I got 3 awesome hats (for his fair head), 2 gap baby footie sleepers, 2 bibs and a bath seat for Summit for $20 at 9 months later.

-I got some kickin’ lamps at a garage sale that were hand carved in the 70’s that I’ll blog about soon.

-my sunless tanner seems to be working.

-my cats are awesome. Snickers sleeps on me at nights and has this way of curling up on my shoulder that is the perfect weight and his purr is so soothing, especially when I’m sick.

-THANK GOD I AM FEELING BETTER. I AM THANKFUL FOR EVERY DAY I AM WELL.

-Julie does an amazing job taking care of Summit on Fridays. I am completely thankful for her and the way she loves my little boy.

-I have a new toilet!!!! It’s so pretty and new, my old one was leaking and we kept a towel around it so water didn’t spread on the floor (really) and today I got a whole new one with a toilet seat that isn’t chipped and worn looking. Though- on the flip side, it is made of plastic so it sticks to my bum when I stand up.

-Acambaro’s chips and salsa with a Dr. Pepper. Quite seriously my favorite food in the world. When I read other blogs about mango chutney or something which I have NO IDEA what it is I feel so uncultured and hickish, but I am a chips-n-salsa girl all the way, I embrace myself- hick and all! :) (I’m sure your chutney is wonderful Sarah, but I have no idea what it is seriously, is it like jelly that you put on bread??)

-sleep is my happiest of all happy things. Rest Rocks.

Heidi, I’m laughing at the mango chutney comment. You are not uncultured at all!!! And really, I love chips and salsa and DP way more than I love it.
I can’t wait to see pics of your 70’s lamps. I had a dream last night about drooling over some vintage lamps at an estate sale.
