High/Lows- Labor Day Weekend

Happy Labor Day!

the happy Highs…

-I got to sleep in until 10am!!! The most rest I’ve got in over a week! Thanks so much Ben, dearest!

-I got about 6 loads of laundry done.

-We went to one of the last Arkansas Naturals Baseball games, and it was great getting to spend time with family! My dad and some international students were able to join us with Sarea and her kids. Both kids were charming and friendly to everyone around us and another high point of the night was both boys getting free balloon animals- they were delighted! It was family night and the kids ate free- they enjoyed the unusual treat of getting a sierra mist drink.

-The line was really long at the snow cone stand and Bear was very disappointed. Being the awesomesauce mom that I am- I took Bug and Bear to get slushes from Sonic afterwards as a special treat. When I asked them what flavor they wanted, they settled on “blue”. I love this age where color can be a flavor. 😀

-They splashed and giggled in the bath tub- I LOVE seeing them enjoy each other and laugh. Bug went to bed right after, chirping his goodbys and making sure he had his blankie. I love how great he goes to bed, I am very blessed how much he loves to sleep!

and the lowly Lows…

-I woke up and stumbled into the boys room pre-coffee where Ben jumped up and yelled “TAG!” and darted away from the room.

-All 6 loads are on the floor in my living room waiting to be sorted and folded.

-I drug the kids by myself to the Natural’s Game because Ben was working a booth for work. I was yelling at Bug to slow down on the way to the gate and drug poor Bear up the stairs to catch Bug. Instantly Bear was over stimulated and then told me that he had to go to the bathroom. Ben wasn’t answering his phone and neither was Drew and I stood there hopelessly stalker calling them until they finally answered and brought me my ticket. I was soaked in sweat as it was a million degrees outside. Bug ran away from me more times than I can count and I was glad that I brought his leash (harness) or I’d have lost him.

-We didn’t make it past the 3rd inning.

-I spent $5 to get the boys slushies from Sonic, which they promptly dumped into the bathtub about 1 minute after we walked in the door. Why boys? Why?

-While chasing a naked Bug around the house after his bath trying to find his diapers, he peed on the carpet. The diapers were on the floor in the bathroom… Yes. Really.

Perspective. It’s everything.
