Days 24, 25 & 26 #30daysofThanksgiving

Day 24: I’m thankful for my Christmas Tree.

I know… let’s stop judging me for a minute  on the fact that my tree up BEFORE THANKSGIVING  and focus on the fact that it is beautiful.  and up earlier than I’ve ever gotten it. I feel so amazing and ahead of schedule and a bit deja vu… but perhaps this was just because I said something similar on Instagram.  HOWEVER, I did it for my brother. (cue the round of oooooooooooo’s & ahhhhhhh’s) He wasn’t able to be here for Christmas last year. He won’t be here this year either. I miss him and I wish that I got to see him more often. You know, cause I’m an awesome sister like that. … or so my friends say…  (inside family joke- sorry)

Day 25: I’m thankful for Glasses.

This sounds silly but if I didn’t have glasses and contacts my world would be so very different. I remember reading the story in the bible about Leah, the one with weak eyes and always identified with her. Thick, unsightly (oh yes, pun INTENDED) coke bottle glasses that I’d only put on in class because I was too embarrassed to be seen in them in junior high. I was so “cool” and went from class to class in a blur (oh yes, pun VERY intended). I love the fact that nerd glasses are so in.

Day 26:  I’m thankful for monthly Blogger Meet-ups.

I’ve already mentioned a lot of the local bloggers who have meant a lot to me but it’s crazy to me that  every month I have the option to go to a meet-up that has between 20-40 amazing, inspiring and encouraging ladies who love what I love and do what I do. Thank you Jacqueline Wolven for helping facilitate and sustain it! Below is a picture from our yearly Arkansas Women Blogger gathering but the local events are the thing that keeps us going in between.
