Be good 2 yourself: Granola Bars

Thanks to Julie B.

This recipe is for soft granola bars that are amazing! I made them before my trip to Colorado and gave a bag to my Dad for his trip to the middle east area. I think that everyone will love them, from kids to adults. Enjoy!

2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup non-fat milk powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup dried cranberries or cherries*
1/2 cup almonds*
3/4 oil or applesauce
1/2 cup honey

Mix dry ingredients together, then add the liquid ingredients. Bake in a 9×13 dish at 350 for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

*Replace cranberries and sliced almonds with 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter chips for another (my preferred) delicious option! (I just read that it was peanut butter chips, I used 1/2 cup peanut butter and it worked fine.)
