This is a guest post from my dear daughter Madison. She just turned 12 in November. This was written Christmas Eve and then she read it to the family at lunch.
What Christmas Is About…

My opinion in what Christmas is about. Well I think that Christmas is about family coming together to celebrate the birth of Jesus!!!!! And spend time with each other and just hang out! Now everybody likes Christmas presents and I mean sometimes it’s nice to have one or two! But what I’m trying to get to is this holiday is not about us. It’s about Jesus and God and it may be hard right now cause most people are going through tough times with money problems so it’s hard to afford Christmas presents for the children but…I personally think that the children are just happy they have parents that love and care for them and what the children do for them is nice and they want to reward them cause they love them! They want to care for them and make them happy but its better if they use their money for FOOD most importantly!! Cause that is a gift that would help the parents out and make the children happy! (If you know what I mean.) Whoever reads this letter I LOVE YOU and God does too!!!
